Park City Education Foundation
Tim Chesley is the president of The Park City Education Foundation . The team at Chesley Electric dedicates time and energy to ensure the future of our children is bright. Running with Ed was started by the Chesley Electric family to raise money for the foundation. This event, along with charity BBQ events and auctions have raised $1 Million for the Park City Education Foundation. Additionally, the Chesley team has participated in the planning and implementation of the funds to better the programs that benefit for the foundation.
As a key sponsor for Park City Youth Football, the Chesley Electric team provides an opportunity for all youth to participate in the sport regardless of their financial situation. Chesley Electric sponsors the team uniforms and contributes time and money to the organization to allow youth participants to play on a strong, cohesive team. Teamwork, dedication and hard work are important skills for our youth to carry into their adult lives.
In addition to being major contributors to the Park City Education Foundation and Park City Youth Football, Chesley Electric and the dedicated employees, families and friends also volunteer time and effort to some other key organizations in Park City. Tim Chesley feels strongly that “The Egyptian Theater is such a gem of this town, we want to keep it alive.” Park City Museum is another important monument in this town to share the history of our mining town and how Park City came to be. The Speedy Foundation was founded in honor of Jeret “Speedy” Peterson and was established to prevent suicide, promote conversations to end stigma, and support mental health education. The event America’s Opener brings together athletes from around the world to compete in their sport. Wasatch Lacrosse is gaining momentum and providing additional athletic opportunities for Heber City’s youth. You may recognize the familiar site of the BBQ Smoker at many of these events, with the Chesley team donating food and time to make these events memorable and successful. And finally, Chesley Electric Supports the Sundance Film Festival. Temporary lighting and sound are an integral part of the festivals and allow Park City to transform overnight into a huge event venue to continuously attract visitors each year.
